Two is Better than One: Sometimes One Explainer Video isn’t Enough

So you made your company video, but you still have more to say…we don’t blame you – we have a ton to say.  Your choices basically come down to: Making a longer video or making another video.  Now, making a long three minute video is fine, but don’t expect your viewers to watch the whole thing.  The better option: Make another company video with other information.  That’s what we did for NextDeal.  You already know why you need NextDeal, because you need to stay ahead of your competition when it comes to real estate.  But now, let’s take a look at how NextDeal works:

You’re probably wondering..why did we split those up?  Well, we could have stuck them together, but then we’re left with a video over two minutes long.  Are you going to watch that? No, probably not.

Another reason is that we wanted to explain NextDeal’s service completely in a comprehensive way, so that took more time.  If you have a company that is very simple to understand, then you can probably get away with having only one video.  However, for NextDeal, we wanted to paint the landscape a bit before diving into how the product works and the benefits for the real estate folks, so two company videos works.

Video Series

Now are you wondering – hey, why stop at two web videos, can I go to three?  Yes!  For other clients, such as LexisNexis, we’ve created about five videos for different reasons: internal training, explainer new products, etc.

If you’re wondering what works for your company, just give us a shout.  We can tell pretty quickly if your company needs more than one video or if one is just enough.
