Revolution Productions Reviews WeVideo: Online Video Creation tool

There is always so much video news around town, and hey, we’re video people, so why not throw our two cents into the mix. With all of the new tools, platforms, and applications, it can be a bit overwhelming. Sometimes some platforms catch our eye, and we like to give a little review of the product…on that note, let’s talk about WeVideo.

Revolution Productions reviews WeVideo

This platforms that launched last year calls itself, “the fastest and easiest way to make amazing videos”. WeVideo is now releasing a new update that seeks to make the tool even easier to use in terms of themes and drag-and-drop functionality. So what exactly is the tool offering?

The new-and-improved editor now offers two operating modes: Storyboard mode and Timeline mode. Storyboard mode seems to be more for beginner videographers, allowing users to drag and drop parts of the video and have them streamed together instantly. Timeline mode includes more advanced features for those pros that can handle themselves around a video editing tool.

What really makes this platform stand out is that they have linked up with sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flikr, and Google Drive that already allow users to share their videos. Good move, WeVideo.

This is a tool like Animoto, Wideo, and Magisto, though it seems a bit more expensive, if you decide to upgrade. What really sets them apart is that users don’t have to re-upload their videos…which can get a bit annoying for anyone. However, for videographers not ready to take the plunge with a video production company, it’s a good alternative.
